Evan is an award-winning journalist who joined the FOX 13 News team in June 2015.
Evan makes the move to Tampa from just across I-4 in Orlando, where he reported for CBS affiliate WKMG Local 6.
While covering Central Florida, Evan reported live the night a jury reached a not-guilty verdict in the George Zimmerman case. He was also one of the first reporters on scene when FBI agents shot and killed an associate of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Evan's report from the site of a sinkhole that swallowed a resort near Disney World garnered a national audience, airing on CNN and CBS This Morning.
Evan's career in broadcast journalism began before he graduated high school. He was a reporter and anchor for Teen Perspective 2News, a teen news show at the ABC affiliate in Baltimore. It was there that he developed a passion for storytelling.
His passion transitioned from a hobby to a career path in college. Evan is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism. Go Terps!
Evan previously worked at NBC affiliate WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, S.C. and held internships at WPTV in West Palm Beach, and in Madrid, Spain. One of Evan's most memorable assignments was covering the execution of D.C.-area sniper John Allen Muhammad. He won a Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence award for his coverage.
While he's not in the newsroom, Evan likes to spend time running, doing CrossFit and finding the best places to eat.
