Faith in Action: Jesus Cares

TAMPA, Fla.- A Bay area woman with a big heart is sharing her spirituality with a sign and a smile.

"The message I have is for everyone. Rich, poor, black, white, it doesn't matter," Diana Williams said.

The great-grandmother sits for four hours, three days a week, smiling and waving at strangers.

"As people go by, they're on their way to work, maybe going to a court hearing, maybe they got some bad news. But then they'll see this wave and smile, to encourage them," Williams smiled.

Sometimes, her small sign, reading "Jesus Cares", stops drivers in their tracks.

"This morning, someone pulled in, her name was Debra, and she was just crying and she wanted prayer. And God is just so awesome that I was there and he was able to use me to comfort her," Williams said.

Williams waves outside of the Channelside District, the Westfield Brandon Mall, and a Riverview intersection from

10-2 p.m., three days a week.
