Call goes out for Metropolitan Ministries donations, volunteers

- Metropolitan Ministries is getting ready to provide for thousands of families in need for the holidays.  Wednesday, clergy from across the Bay Area offered a special blessing at the new tent location in downtown Tampa.

"To ask for God's blessings on the tent, on the blessings of the families that are coming for services as well as for the volunteers," explained Metropolitan Ministries president Tim Marks.

The main tent in Tampa has moved to a new location in the downtown area on 905 N. Governor Street.

There is also an outreach center collecting donations in Pasco County.  It's located at 3214 U.S. Highway 19 North in Holiday.

Pinellas County has its own donation location at Taking It To The Street Ministries, located at 7320 47th Street in Pinellas Park.

Along with food and toy donations, Metropolitan Ministries could also use volunteers.

FOX 13 is proud to join Metropolitan Ministries in bringing hope for the holidays.  For more information on how to help, go to http://www.metromin.org/
