Free kids meals every Sunday in Sept. at Chipotle

- Chipotle is offering free kid's meals every Sunday in September.

The chain is hoping to lure back customers spooked by a series of food scares including an E. coli outbreak last year that sent Chipotle sales plummeting.

The promotion offers kids 12 and under a free meal with the purchase of a burrito, bowl, order of tacos or a salad.

The offer must be redeemed in a single visit. The Chipotle kid's meals include burritos, tacos, quesadillas and salads.

The chain has already given away millions of free burritos this year.

The chain is also offering high schools and college students free soda or iced tea with a meal purchase and a valid student ID.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
