Burt's Bees Baby recalls infant coverall due to choking hazard

Check your children's closets. Around 8,500 infant coveralls have been recalled due to a choking hazard.

The snap at the crotch of the Burt's Bees Butterfly Garden Coverall can detach. If a little one puts the detached snap into their mouth, they could choke on it. There have been 11 reports to the Consumer Product Safety Commission of detaching snaps, but no injuries have been reported.

The cotton coverall is pink with white butterflies and a white ruffle around the neck, running down the front. It was sold as a set with a matching hat in infant sizes NB, 3M, 6M, and 9M. “Burt’s Bees Baby” and the garment sizes are printed on the inside back of the garment.

They were sold at Babies R Us, BuyBuy Baby, and online at babiesrus.com, buybuybaby.com, amazon.com, kohls.com, target.com, zulily.com, diapers.com, hautelook.com, and burtsbeesbaby.com from December 2016 through May 2017 for about $18.

Anyone who has this item should stop using it and contact Burt’s Bees Baby for a pre-paid envelope to return it in exchange for a $20 e-gift card to be used at www.burtsbeesbaby.com.
