TAMPA (FOX 13) - Publix is recalling its Apple Coffee Cakes, sold in Bay Area stores, because they might contain metal shavings.
Publix said there have been no reported cases of illness or injury from the coffee cake. Consumers who bought the product may return it for a full refund.
The voluntary recall is for Publix Apple Coffee Cakes sold in the stores' bakery departments in the following Florida counties:
The product has a UPC of 002-19562-00000 and includes all date codes.
The Apple Coffee Cakes were also sold at Publix bakery departments in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina.
