Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival kicks off this weekend

- The Busch Gardens Food & Wine Festival begins this weekend and there's a star-studded list of performers lined up.

Among them, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Meat Loaf, Jordin Sparks, Gary Allan, Huey Lewis & The News, Goo Goo Dolls, O.A.R., Third Eye Blind, The All-American Rejects, and George Thorogood & The Destroyers.

The festival starts Saturday, March 5 and runs through Sunday April 24, with headliners performing either Saturday or Sunday evenings at 6 p.m.

The Food & Wine Festival will also feature culinary delights including tastings of the Bay Area's finest craft brews, wines and inspired dishes. Demonstrations and food art will be displayed throughout the event. Pulled sugar art, carved fruits and vegetables and cake decorating are a few of this year's attractions.

Busch Gardens will also display horticulture masterpieces - themed, larger-than-life topiaries featuring lions, serpents, dolphins, and turtles. Living works of art from Sesame Street, including Elmo, Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch will also be on display throughout Busch Gardens.

Busch Gardens says the concerts are included with admission to the park, including Pass, Fun Card and daily admissions. Tickets for the Food & Wine Festival's culinary offerings are sold separately.
