Anyone who grew up in the Tampa Bay area also grew up with Alessi Bakeries. This delicious cornerstone of the community is celebrating its 104th anniversary this weekend. To commemorate the occasion, they are rolling back prices to what they were when they first turned the ovens on in 1912.

Charley tried his hand at frosting Alessi's famous eclairs, which will be available this weekend only for just 39 cents. Customers this weekend will also be able to snag 29-cent coconut macaroons and discounted Scachatta, deviled crabs, Cuban sandwiches, and more.

Alessi's says that the throwback prices are a way of thanking the community for their century of support.

The anniversary celebration will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 24 and 25.  In addition to the huge discounts, the bakery will have a T-Shirt giveaway and cookie basket raffles. Plus, all children will receive a free anniversary cookie.

They expect to sell over 4,000 eclairs this weekend-- so get there early to get yours and celebrate one of Tampa's oldest and most beloved local businesses.
