Chrome, whitewalls, and fins: The business of classic cars

- It's like a museum, but you can buy the art: A new car dealership in Palmetto specializes in the classics.

Walking in to the showroom at Skyway Classics is like walking back in time. Corvettes, Mustangs, Fairlanes, Beetles, and plenty of other classic cars line the walls.

The family-run business already has customers around the world, and they'll "shake the trees" for a particular make, model and color, Ryan Tanski promised.

They also will help with financing, warranties, and insurance.  They help sell cars on consignment, and if you've got a still-half-finished restoration project on your hands, they'll take that, too.

"Pretty much we're a one-stop shop," Tanski said.
