Learn to row on 'National Learn to Row Day'

- We are getting you ready for “National Learn to Row Day,” which is on Saturday.

The 17th Annual National Learn to Row Day is meant to raise awareness of rowing opportunities throughout the country, and there is an event right in Tampa. On Saturday, the teaching event will be held at Julian B. Lane Park at the new Tampa River Center Boathouse.

The event will run from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with several 90-minute sessions. Each one will include an introduction to rowing technique, and up to 60 minutes on the water in 8-person boats.
