ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (FOX 13) -
There is a new lounge that embraces the quirky and colorful side of Florida.
“No Vacancy” is the latest addition to a thriving Central Avenue in downtown St. Petersburg. The theme pays tribute to old-school Florida. When you walk inside, the decor is pretty similar to those old-school beach motels. You'll even spot a fake alligator on palm tree wallpaper.
Its Sunshine State-centric menu with alligator bites, homemade crab cakes and nachos with lobster, shrimp and crab toppings. There is also an outdoor patio seating area with its own bar and artifical turf. The drink names are pretty “punny,” such as “Tropic Like It’s Hot.”
During the Tampa Bay Rays' opening weekend, they plan to launch their brunch menu. It will include a coffee cocktail and savory meals like a crab cake benedict and a breakfast skillet.
