Vertical Ventures offers indoor rock climbing for all ages

ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - Rock climbing is for everyone over at Vertical Ventures.

There are locations in Tampa and St. Petersburg, and both have indoor facilities even for when it's raining or just hot outside. They provide options for first-time rock climbers and for people who are experts. There is a main wall inside where people can wear a harness and ropes. There are small and tall walls as well as ones for the bold who don’t need a harness at all.

It’s also a great opportunity to bring the kids in during the summer months, and get them out of the house. Summer camp programs are also offered.

There are daily fees, membership options and even a family plan. There are members who participate because rock climbing provides a solid workout. The owners of Vertical Ventures know this, and have included a weight room, fitness classes and yoga classes at their locations. There is no minimum age limit, but they say kids 5 and up “do best.”
