Eat chocolate to look younger

- We’ve all dreamed of eating chocolate without gaining weight but did we ever dare to dream that we could eat chocolate and look younger with each bite?

That dream could be a reality according to Lycotec, a UK based company with research ties to Cambridge University. They’ve created “Esthechoc,” a 70 percent dark chocolate that researchers say is so potent that one 7.5-gram piece packs the same antioxidants as 100 grams of regular dark chocolate or 300 grams of Alaskan Salmon.
Creators say that in a clinical trial, eating a piece of Esthechoc a day for four weeks boosted blood supply to the skin and reduced inflammation.

They tested this on 50-60 year olds and Lycotec’s Ivan Petyaev reported that, “In terms of skin biomarkers we found it had brought skin back to the levels of a 20 or 30-year-old.”

Health experts say more trials are needed to show whether it really lives up to the hype. But would you try a piece? Hey, if it’s chocolate, we’ll try it no matter what!
