Performer lit on fire during pep rally at Florida high school

- A pep rally at a south Florida high school was cut short after a performer accidentally set himself on fire in front of hundreds of students Thursday.

The horrifying incident was caught on video by a student in the gym at Atlantic High School in Delray Beach.

The video shows the man suddenly engulfed in flames while holding a can of flammable liquid.

The man was rushed to the hospital with burns, but his condition was not immediately released.

Fire officials said seven other people were hospitalized because of breathing fire extinguisher dust, but their injuries were not serious.

Classes resumed after the accident.
