Police: Picture of duct taped dog prompts investigation

The South Daytona Police department is looking into a possible animal cruelty case after a picture of a dog with its muzzle duct taped shut was posted on Facebook.
According to police, hundreds of calls and emails were sent to their dispatch, as well as, the Volusia County Sheriff's Office to report a woman had duct taped her dog's muzzle shut for excessive barking.
Police said they are taking the picture and allegations very seriously and have started an investigation.
Officials said they do not believe the woman is in Florida and the incident may have taken place out of state.
