Search for hit-and-run driver

- Manatee County deputies are searching for a semi-truck that was involved in a hit-and-run accident Friday night.

It happened on State Rose 70 east and Sugar Bowl road in Myakka City, just before 7 o'clock.

Deputies say a white semi-truck with a green fruit trailer on it was traveling east on State Road 70 when it drove into the westbound lanes of traffic hitting a car.

That car spun off the road and into a barbed wire fence, the semi-truck kept driving. A 14-year-old girl was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
