High school football team greets cheerleader battling leukemia with roses

PALO CEDRO, CA (WTXF)- A California high school football team made quite the play,  in a show of support for a cheerleader who is battling cancer.

Before last Friday's game, as each member of the team entered the field at foothill high, they laid an orange rose at the feet of Ashley Adamietz.

Orange is the designated color for leukemia awareness.

Adamietz was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia back in August, and she has been getting treatment ever since.
