Officer rescues trapped deer; deer stays by hero's side

- One of Texas' finest came to the rescue of a deer and it was all caught on camera.

Officer Kevin Zieschang of the Fulshear Police Department responded to a report of a deer being tied up behind a home under construction. Body cam footage shows the officer arriving at the scene and freeing the animal from his cumbersome situation.

However the story doesn't stop there.  Instead of wandering off into the woods, the deer refused to leave and opted to stay by his hero's side. "I tried to spook him to get him to run back out into the woods, but he wasn't having it," Zieschang said. "He wanted to hang out with us."

So far no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.
