Female jogger foils attempted kidnapping after assault

- A female jogger fought off a man during an attempted abduction in Massachusetts and it was caught on surveillance video.

Bridgewater police released the video capturing the incident from a security camera at a nearby business. Police said Gordon Lyons pulled his car over, ran out and grabbed a 37-year-old woman, who was jogging along Pleasant Street on Sunday morning.

She allegedly screamed and fought off her attacker, who then fled in his car.

Witnesses called 911 to alert police about the alleged assault. Police said during the incident, Lyons also sexually assaulted the woman. She also managed to take a picture of his car as he sped off.

A short time later, Lyons was allegedly involved in a car crash and that’s when police arrested him.
