Two men, baby injured in Lake Co. boat explosion

- A boat explosion on Little Lake Harris in Astatula injured two men and an infant on board just before 2 p.m. Saturday, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife officials.

Investigators, along with Lake County Fire Rescue, say the boat was tied up at the dock getting ready to sail on the lake when it suddenly exploded.

The two men jumped overboard with the baby and swam to shore while their boat sank behind them.

All three were evacuated by helicopter.

The men were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, while the baby was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital.

Officials aren't sure what caused the explosion, but the boat was pulled from the lake to be investigated.
