Wahlburgers Orlando is officially open for business

- Wahlburgers Orlando is officially open for business.  Founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg and celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg, Wahlburgers debuted in October 2011 in Hingham, Massachusetts.

A VIP event was held on Thursday in Orlando, attended by Mark and Paul.  Wahlburgers Orlando is located at 200 South Orange Avenue at the corner of Church Street and Orange Avenue.

"People may come into the restaurant, because of myself or Donnie, but the reason why they're gonna come back is because of the experience that Paul provides," Mark explained. "As far as starting out in Orlando, we met great operators that are very good at what we do and my job is to make sure that we drive as much attention to this location and area as possible, and it's growing rapidly and it's going to be a great start for us."

The restaurant encompasses 6,000 square feet on one level with a full bar and offers both full and quick service. The interior decor features photos and mementos celebrating the Wahlberg Family's history. In tribute to its location, Wahlburgers Orlando will feature a Central Florida themed cocktail -- the ORLANDO DREAMSICLE, an adult frappe made with vanilla vodka, triple sec, orange juice and ice cream.

The Wahlbergs have joined with well-known Central Florida restaurateur Manny Garcia and his funding partners to make the Orlando location a reality.

"We find it amazing down here," Paul said. "The whole Church Street is fantastic, and so for us, it's a great opportunity for a place that's already starting to thrive in terms of food, restaurants and businesses, and so we're very excited to be down here."
