Haines City man accused of exposing self to jogger

Kissimmee Police have arrested a man for flashing a woman out on her morning jog.  Police said Jiovanny Gonzalez exposed himself to that woman on Lakeside Drive near Wimbledon Street back in August.  The woman snapped photos of the man performing a lewd act on the sidewalk and told the police.

It didn’t take long for an anonymous caller to point police to Gonzalez, recognizing him from a photo passed out to local news outlets, including FOX 35.  “This was a really good case,” said KPD spokeswoman Stacie Miller. “It started from the beginning with our victim who took an excellent couple of pictures and was able to share them with us, and just by canvassing the neighborhood we were able to locate who he is.”

When officers went to his home to question him, the police report says Gonzalez admitted to the whole thing, as well as several other flashing incidents in Haines City. Gonzalez told the officer he “wanted to be honest” and “doesn’t know what he was thinking.”

Gonzalez was arrested in early September on a burglary charge. His total bail for both the burglary and exposure charges is $11,000.
