Marion park water access closed due to aggressive alligator

Marion County Parks and Recreation officials are temporarily closing off access to KP Hole Park due to a large alligator showing aggressive behavior.
The park is located at 9425 SW 190th Road, Dunnellon and is on the Rainbow River.
Officials said they are temporarily suspending access to swimming, tubing, diving and paddle boarding as a precaution because of the aggressive alligator.
Florida Fish and Wildlife have hired a nuisance trapper to try and find the alligator, officials said.
Marion County Parks and recreation said they will post updates on their website when it is safe for people to return to the waterway.
