Miami chase ends with teen suspect in custody

- A high-speed chase wound through Miami-area neighborhoods for nearly an hour this afternoon before police managed to stop the teenage suspect.

WSVN's chopper was above the scene as the white SUV sped through streets not far from Sun Life Stadium and hopped on and off Interstate 95 several times.

The chase started when police tried to pull over a stolen vehicle.

The driver, identified only as a 16- or 17-year-old, will face numerous new charges, including battery on a law enforcement officer, after colliding with police vehicles during the chase.

There appeared to be several minor collisions during the chase but there was no immediate word of any serious iinjuries.
