- A Florida missing child alert has been issued for a 7-year-old girl from Miami Gardens who was last seen in January.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued the alert just after midnight on Friday for Dejah Hawkins. She is described as:

- black female

- 4 feet, 1 inch tall

- 85 pounds

- Brown hair and brown eyes

Dejah was last seen in the area of the 2800 block of NW 192nd Street in Miami Gardens. FDLE officials say she has been missing since January 24. They did not explain why they are only now issuing the alert.

Hawkins may be in the company of 32-year-old Ashley McCoy. McCoy is described as a black female, 5 feet tall, weighs 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

It’s unclear what relationship Hawkins and McCoy may have had before the child’s disappearance.
