Teens encounter great white shark on fishing trip

Two teens got a rare glimpse of a great white shark swimming off the coast of Florida over the weekend. Tyler Magone, 18, was fishing with his father and a friend Sunday when they spotted the shark.

They had launched their boat from the Dunlawton Causeway and arrived at Ponce Inlet, about 30 miles from shore when Magone said the shark swam straight up to their boat. "It was just doing laps around the boat, wanted us to be his friend for the day," Magone said.

Maggone got out his GoPro and started filming.

He said the shark circled around their boat for about 20 minutes before they left the area to continue fishing.

Magone was so excited about the encounter that he posted the video to his Facebook page.

"There's a slim chance that I'll ever see that again, so I'm just glad I got to see it," said Magone's friend.
