Woman fights suspect in wallet theft in Florida Whole Foods

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - It just took a second: One man asks a woman at a Broward County Whole Foods to read a label for him while another grabs her wallet from her purse in the cart.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office says the incident caught on surveillance video happened May 11 at a Pompano Beach Whole Foods, but they're still trying to find the suspects.

Deputies say one man asked her to read the price of a cake on one of the shelves and when she turned her back, the second man, holding a jacket in his hands, reached into her purse and grabbed her wallet.

She caught him, even though the wallet is hiding under her jacket, and her reaction was caught on surveillance video. She is seen grabbing the jacket and fighting with the suspect until her wallet drops out and she gets it back, pointing at him as he runs away.

The men fled the store empty handed, but deputies are trying to figure out who they are.
