Don't get lost dating without your Apps

- Sick of swiping online dating apps and want to try something new? Or old, rather? You know, when people used to strike up conversations without knowing each other’s measurements and whether they like burritos? It’s really quite simple.

Rekindle a passion for something you haven’t had time for. A sport, an art class, or a concert can be a good start and you’ll be happy doing it. That authentic smile will be hard to resist and the two of you will already have something in common.

Opposites still attract, so it is equally smart to try something you would never do. With the right attitude it can be a fun adventure. Let your brief bravery shine!

Kindness is a good trait in a mate, and volunteer work is filled with it. If you don’t find anyone, you’ll still have done something worthwhile and walk away fulfilled.

If you don’t have a dog, ask a friend to borrow one. They’re terrific conversation starters and your friend will appreciate the help. Just don’t lie about it being yours.

Detach from the pack. Coffee doesn’t always have to be with friends, and you’re more approachable when alone. You’re not a child anymore. It’s OK to talk to strangers.

So get out and let life guide you, instead of an algorithm. You might find someone, and you might even find yourself along the way.
