One in eight venues resulted in immediate closure for failing routine inspection. Kiddie pools and wading pools were most severe, with one in five closed to violations. Twelve percent of routine inspections found safety equipment violations that could be considered a drowning risk. Incorrect PH, safety equipment issues, and unsuitable disinfectant concentration were the most common safety violations found.
