'BBQ Bandits' steal shrimp, steak from Aldi in St. Pete, police say

- St. Petersburg police are searching for two suspects who stole shrimp and steak from an Aldi location.

Police say around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, the male and female duo entered the store at 1551 34th Street North, and stuffed multiple meat packages into the woman’s large brown purse. Then, they walked out without paying.

St. Petersburg police shared surveillance images of the suspects they call "Bar-B-Q Bandits" on the agency’s Facebook page and wrote, “Looks like they were planning a Memorial Day barbeque with stolen goods.”

Anyone with information on their identity or whereabouts are asked to call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 9727) 893-7780 or text SPPD, plus your tip to TIP411.
