1 dead, 1 injured in St. Pete nightclub shooting

- A 33-year-old man is dead following a fatal shooting at St. Petersburg nightclub.

The shooting occurred after 1:30 a.m. at The Sugar Room, located at 1239 4th Street South. St. Petersburg police said one man died and another was injured. The victims’ identities have not been released.

Police have closed 4th Street south between 12th Avenue South and 14th Avenue South for the investigation. 

There is no word on whether any arrests were made or the cause of the shooting. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
