Minor injuries after St. Pete truck blast

- Emergency crews in St. Pete are responding to a possible chemical explosion involving a cargo truck.

Fire units are on the scene at a construction site on 51st Street S, which is right along Maximo Channel.  A SPFR spokesperson says an apparent blast "blew the top off" of a truck.

There was no fire following the explosion but two people suffered minor injuries.

HazMat teams have been called to the scene as a precaution.
