Motorcyclist killed in St. Pete crash

- St. Pete police said a motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Sunday morning.

The crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. on 6th Street S. at 42nd Avenue S.

According to police, the unidentified motorcyclist lost control while traveling southbound. He struck a curb and was thrown from the Honda motorcycle.

The victim was taken to Bayfront Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officers are working to notify next of kin.
