Bolts fans name newborn after Lightning player

- Lightning fans love cheering for their team and chanting players’ names when they score.

There's one name we've been hearing a lot this series: Nikita Kucherov.

One couple loved the name so much they named their newborn baby after him.

Little Nikita was born a Bolts fan, coming into the world just hours before Tuesday night’s game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final.

The couple said the name just stuck for their daughter.

"When we first found out, we went to a game preseason and we jokingly said, ‘we were gonna name the baby after we scored,’ and it turned out to be Nikita Kucherov,” said new father Eric Franklin.

The new family is doing just fine. Hopefully little Nikita doesn't drink from a bottle, just a cup.
