FREE ice cream this Friday in Tampa

- An ice cream company not only wants to give away free ice cream, it hopes to raise $10,000 for charity for the 10,000 Scoop Challenge in the process.

Michigan-based Denali Moose Tracks is coming to Lykes Gaslight Square Park in Tampa this Friday and the company's goal is to give away 10,000 scoops of Mayfield Dairy Farms ice cream.

For every scoop it gives away, the company will donate $1 to the Salvation Army of Tampa/Hillsborough County.

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fri. June 10. It's completely free and it's open to everyone in the community.
