Teen shot, killed near 14th Street S in St. Pete

- St. Petersburg Police are investigating the shooting death of a teenage boy Friday night.

Investigators were called to the intersection of 14th Street South and 40th Street South around 7 p.m. after witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots. When police arrived they found a teenage male, exact age unknown, dead from at least on gunshot wound.

Police say witnesses reported seeing people running from the scene after the gunshots. They have not identified the teen victim and the shooter or shooters remain at large.
