- Firefighters have contained a small brush fire that flared up in southern Hillsborough County.

The smoky blaze broke out near U.S. Highway 301 and State Road 674.  That's in the Sun City Center area.

The fire was about 2 acres in size when crews from Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and the state Division of Forestry arrived, but they were able to contain it to 10 acres.

A nearby TECO transfer station was not affected.
