Lightning likely cause of fire that destroyed Pasco Co. home

- Lightning from heavy storms could be to blame for a devastating house fire along the Cotee River.

Neighbors posted video of the raging fire as it destroyed a family’s home Saturday afternoon.

The homeowners were able to get out safely and no one reported injuries. Fire crews were still on the scene tamping down the flames, hours after it started.

Bystanders said there was heavy lightning in the area just before the fire started.
