Lakeland police receive 'thank you' notes on patrol cars

- Some police officers in Lakeland have received anonymous 'thank you' notes left on their patrol cars.

The Lakeland Police Department posted on Facebook about the notes, saying it believes the same person is writing them.

One note said, "Have a good day today and be safe."

Lakeland police said that although the letters are a small gesture, it means so much to the officers and their families.

Many law enforcement agencies around Tampa Bay have received kind gestures from the public following the attacks on police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge.
