Two killed, four injured in Auburndale truck crash

Two Polk County men are dead following a crash in Auburndale - and deputies say they were among six men riding in a single truck.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Sunday, authorities say a white Ford F-250 was headed north on Thornhill Road when the driver lost control of the truck on a curve just north of Sugar Creek Road.  The truck went off the road and flipped several times, throwing three passengers during the roll.
Two men, 32-year-old Wesley Workman and 42-year-old Lewis Strickland, died in the crash.  Four others were seriously injured, including the driver, 24-year-old Kenneth McIntosh.
Deputies say no one in the truck was wearing a seat belt.  Speed and impairment may have been factors in the crash. The investigation remains underway.
