Driver cited after crashing into pole, car and yard

- Sarasota police have cited a driver following a crash that happened Saturday afternoon.

Officers say someone driving a Lincoln SUV southbound on South Tuttle Avenue struck a curb at Wood Street and hit a power pole, before crashing into a parked vehicle and plowing through a privacy fence outside a home.  The SUV overturned in the front yard.

Police say the driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and has been cited for careless driving.  

There are no reports of any other injuries.  So far, the driver's name has not been released.
