Clearwater Fire and Rescue remembers 9/11

- A moment of silence was held at the Clearwater Fire and Rescue Department to remember the lives lost during the September 11th attacks, 15 years ago.

In remembrance, they pulled their fire trucks out of the bays at various stations at 9:50 a.m. At 9:59 a.m., they held a moment of silence marking the time the south tower of the World Trade Center fell.

The September 11th terrorist attacks took thousands of lives, including 343 New York City firefighters. That is why members of the community and Clearwater police officers joined their local firefighters to show their appreciation.

Neighbors of Station 48 also showed their respect by bringing cards and baked goods to their fire station.
