Police: Pedestrian hit, killed in Clearwater

- Clearwater police said a pedestrian was hit and killed early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. on Gulf to Bay Boulevard near Duncan Avenue.

According to police, the pedestrian, an adult male, was struck by a vehicle in the westbound lanes. He was pronounced deceased shortly after.

The westbound lanes were closed as police investigated the crash, but they have since reopened.
