Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash

- Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian at 34th Street South and 15th Avenue South in St. Petersburg.

Officers say an adult man was killed after he was hit Friday evening. The vehicle did not stop. The investigation is still developing, and police say it is too soon to know the circumstances of how the crash occurred.

So far, officers have not released a description of the vehicle involved in the crash.

34th Street South is closed between 11th Avenue South and 16th Avenue South for the investigation.
