Suspect arrested in Bradenton murder

- The suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in Bradenton was arrested Sunday afternoon.

The Bradenton Police Department received an anonymous tip claiming homicide suspect Kelly McPherson, 23, was located near 7th St. West and 10th Ave. West in Bradenton. When officers got to the scene, they said McPherson surrendered and was arrested without incident.

McPherson is accused of shooting and killing Keyvis McCullough on September 5. Detectives said McPherson approached McCullough on 12th Ave. West and shot him three times.

McPherson was transported to the Manatee County Jail where he was charged with 2nd Degree Murder. He was given no bond. McPherson will have his first appearance in court Monday afternoon.
