Dog that escaped vet found nearly a week later

- The dog that ran off from the Blue Pearl veterinarian clinic in Tampa has been found.

Shelby, a four-year-old brown and white Boxer mix, escaped from the clinic last week and was spotted a few times, but the staff was unable to catch her.

Flyers were put up around the area where she was spotted and staff combed the area looking for her.

Shelby was a rescue that was undergoing radiation treatments for cancer at Blue Pearl when she escaped.

The staff said she was found underneath a car at a car dealership near the intersection of Linebaugh and Dale Mabry.

She had a broken leg but was otherwise okay and has been reunited with her family.
