- Sarasota Police rescued three juveniles Monday afternoon after their boat capsized.

It happened near the Ringling Museum.

Marine Patrol Officers Skinner and Schwenk were told the three boaters had the trim tabs down and began to back up and rapidly took on water. The operator did have his boater safety ID code card and took a boating safety course.

Their parents were contacted and the three juveniles were taken to the Tenth Street Boat ramp by the officers.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is heading the investigation into exactly what happened.
