Pedestrian struck by SUV in St. Petersburg

- St. Petersburg police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by an SUV Friday night.

The crash happened around 9:30 p.m. at 4th Avenue North and 34th Street North.

According to police, a Nissan Pathfinder hit the unidentified pedestrian as the vehicle approached 4th Avenue North on 34th Street North.

The victim was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with possible life-threatening injuries. Police are working to notify next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation.
