Man shot in WaWa parking lot in Pinellas Park

- Pinellas Park police are investigating a shooting that happened in the parking lot of a WaWa gas station.

The incident occurred Saturday around 10:45 p.m. at the WaWa located at 6200 34th Street North.

According to investigators, two men were involved in an altercation that became physical. During the altercation, one man pulled out a gun and shot the other.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. He has not been publicly identified.

It's unclear what led up to the incident. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released.
