Police search for suspects in robbery of fireworks tent

- Tampa police are searching for four suspects in an armed robbery at a Galaxy Fireworks tent overnight.

Police say the crime occurred at around midnight at the fireworks tent located at the southwest corner of West Hillsborough Avenue and North Rome Avenue.

Four men entered the tent, which had already closed for the night, and confronted two employees. All of the suspects had their faces covered. Police say one man pointed a gun at one of the employees and demanded cash from the register.

As the employee gave cash to the armed suspect, the rema9ining three suspects took boxes of fireworks.

The suspects then fled in a black Nissan.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators have not yet determined the amount or type of fireworks stolen.
